Proud of Den 5

As our journey with Pack 424 is coming to an end, I want to express how proud I am of all of the current boys in Den 5.  They have all worked hard due to their commitment and dedication to Scouting.  Their parents should also be commended for the same commitment and dedication.   The boys will be going out with a bang. They have all earned the Arrow of Light!  Also, all of the boys (and Parents) just earned the elusive Polar Bear Patch.  That is something they have always wanted to earn.  They have come close many times before.  The boys also have completed 19 of the Webelos Badges, but as of February 18th, they will also complete the Scientist Webelos Badge just in time for the Pack Meeting on Monday the 20th,  our very last Pack Meeting.  This will also earn them the Super Achiever Award, by getting all 20 Webelos Badges.  I personally have enjoyed the journey and greatly appreciate the opportunities to spend quality time with my son.  I have enjoyed being a Den leader and am actually sad that it is coming to an end.  But, it is also a celebration that our boys are growing up and learning to become men.

I also want to thank the Pack Leadership for all of their hard work, support and encouragement.

Thanks to all of you, Wayne Wayne Smith
