Join Our Pack

Pack 424 offers a variety of exciting activities so Scouts and their families get the most out of their Scouting experience.  We plan a 12 month program and have something going on every month of the year.  We are awarded the Quality Unit Award every year and we strive to have the best program in the area.

If you would like to join our Pack, all you have to do is come to one of our Pack meetings and let one of our leaders know you are interested in joining.  We meet every 3rd Monday at the Lake Cities United Methodist Church in Lake Dallas.  Our meetings start at 6:30pm and generally last an hour. We will ask you to fill out the BSA Youth Application and pay our annual registration fee of $50.  Depending on what time of the year you join, the registration fee may be pro-rated.  This fee covers the BSA registration, insurance, subscription to Boys Life magazine and Pack dues.

Based on your son's grade, he will be placed in a Cub Scout Den of 6 to 8 boys all in the same grade.  1st graders are Tiger Cubs, 2nd graders are Wolf Cubs, 3rd graders are Bear Cubs and 4th and 5th graders are Webelos Scouts.  If your son already knows someone in the Pack or you would like to be placed in a certain Den, please let us know.
